Henning Glaser

Henning Glaser is a scholar, attorney, mediator, and business consultant with almost 20 years of experience at the intersection of Asian business, law, governance, and political and geopolitical risk. At Dynamic Minds, he serves as Senior Member and Chairman of the Board of Advisors and is closely involved in high-level strategic advisory work, contributing to the firm’s engagement with senior decision-makers on political and geopolitical risk as well as governance and compliance issues, including sustainability-related compliance frameworks.

Trained as a lawyer in Germany, he previously worked as Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of German and European Corporate Law (formerly the Institute of Mining and Energy Law) at the Faculty of Law of Münster University. He also served as Managing Director of a Germany-based trading and consulting boutique primarily operating in Southeast Asia and managed his own law office in Germany before relocating to Thailand in 2007.

Since then, he has been teaching at the Faculty of Law at Thammasat University and, since 2009, has served as Director of the German–Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), which he founded, shaped and led for more than 15 years. He also serves as Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Governance Foundation (AGF).

Henning Glaser is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Asia in Review, an analytical platform focusing on political, legal, and geopolitical developments across Asia. Over the course of his career, he has worked with governments and public-sector institutions, corporate clients, and international organizations across Asia, advising on international relations and geopolitics, constitutional law and politics, political risk, and governance and compliance, including sustainability and ESG-related compliance frameworks.

He is an active member of the German Institute of Compliance (DICO), contributing to working groups on “ESG Corporate Governance” and “Human Rights”. He is registered as an attorney in Germany and is qualified as a mediator under both German law and International Mediation Institute (IMI) standards.
