Political scientist and Research Associate
Morten Strantzen is a political scientist and Research Associate at the German–Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), Dynamic Mind’s sister organization. He also serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Asia in Review, with responsibility for Northeast Asia, including China.
His work focuses on political and geopolitical risk analysis in East Asia and selected countries in Southeast Asia. He has particular expertise in China’s domestic and foreign policy, regional power shifts, and the strategic implications of China’s growing influence across its wider neighborhood, including Southeast and Central Asia.
His analysis is explicitly geared toward corporate and institutional decision-makers, supporting strategic planning, market exposure assessments, and scenario-based risk evaluation in volatile political environments.
